I am the lead career counselor and founder of the Dream more career counseling services. As a career analyst/counselor, I approach every student/client with an emphasis on strengthening relationships, achievable outcomes, and strategies for effective communication. My strengths are my deep curiosity, passion for mission-driven success, zeroing in on practical solutions, and forming valuable connections. My work is grounded in skills and knowledge based on my training in career counseling and using storytelling for counseling, coaching and therapy. I work in a way that is solution-focused, strength-based, and takes into consideration the emotional and interpersonal issues at play in your job and career. I believe strongly in the importance of planning a few steps ahead - to put in the work now so that you will be ready to grab the opportunities of the future. I ask questions drawing out the answers you have within you so you can define what you really want and move forward. I will summarize what you tell me about yourself in a way that you won’t even believe you said it - but you did! Connect short and long-term goals with your core values and strengths. We start with exploring who you are, what YOU want for your future, and what you most want other people to know about you. Then we look at your current options and start to move forward. • A partner to support you in holding yourself accountable. Meeting weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, according to the phase of our work and your preference. • Help with resume, cover letter and interview prep. By exploring your strengths, motivations, goals, and vision of the future, we set the foundation for these communication tools. I am happy to review/respond to drafts between sessions!
